O Rosto dos Despejos

The documentary “The Face of Evictions” is an order by the city council to alert the population of the problem of people being evicted in the city of Lisbon in recent years due to uncontrolled tourism. With two main focuses, the houses and the people who inhabit them, in a 20-minute documentary I discuss their past, their current situation and what the city council has done to solve their problems.

With 70-year-olds living in the house where they were born to be evicted, this issue involves real lives and a very current subject in our society, gentrification.
