Trezentos e sessenta segundos. Abordando o cinema tentando despi-lo aos seus elementos mais básicos, o tempo é a chave desta curta. Enformado pela obra de Michael Snow, nomeadamente “So Is This”, a palavra ocupa o seu meta-lugar num filme de resolução 4K a preto, sem som. O objeto central descodificador deste filme está fora dele. É paravisual, paratextual.  Tal como Johann Lurf na sua abordagem estruturalista ao cinema experimental, a presença do autor sente-se na proposta de legendas que permitem o acesso a realidades diferentes na sua leitura. Como em Blue, de Derek Jarman, o filme sobrevive na errância dos diálogos que poderão existir entre o realizador e o espectador, a imagem é o tempo a sumir-se. Levando esta proposta a um máximo, como em Branca de Neve de João César Monteiro, o filme é mesmo só isto, sendo pertinente perguntar se esta não é só mais uma variação da peça 4’ 33’’ de John Cage. Voltaremos ao mesmo sítio, ao mesmo corpo, à mesma vida, depois desta revolução de trezentos e sessenta segundos?

Three hundred and sixty seconds. Approaching cinema trying to strip it down to its most basic elements, time is the key to this short. Shaped by the work of Michael Snow, namely “So Is This”, the word occupies its meta-place in a 4K resolution film in black, without sound. The central decoder object of this movie is outside of it. It's paravisual, paratextual. Like Johann Lurf in his structuralist approach to experimental cinema, the author's presence is felt in the proposal of subtitles that allow access to different realities in his reading. As in Derek Jarman's Blue, the film survives in the wandering of the dialogues that may exist between the director and the spectator, the image is time disappearing. Taking this proposal to a maximum, as in Snow White by João César Monteiro, the film is really just that, and it is pertinent to ask if this is not just another variation of the piece 4’ 33’’ by John Cage. Will we return to the same place, to the same body, to the same life, after this revolution of three hundred and sixty seconds?
